Whenever we go to Newcastle I always take my Olympus OM10II in stripped down mode, less the grip and with the 14-42mm pancake zoom. This compact setup fits into a tiny shoulder bag and is ideal for city snaps.
Dusk is a good time of day for city photos with the shop and street lights adding a glow to photos. The cameras in body stabilisation (IBIS) comes into its own at this time of day, allowing me to shoot handheld at very low shutter speeds (1/6 secs) but keep the iso at 200. Aperture was f6.3.
These photos were taken outside the Central Library, between the Monument and the Laing Art Gallery.
