Northumberlandia is a project opened in 2012 to regenerate a former open cast mine. It consists of a large landscape sculpture of the “Lady of the North” as it’s called by some. It gives a unique opportunity to photograph the way the new landscape is merging with the old. As part of an ongoing photography course we were challenged to limit how we photographed this location, choosing only one focal length and one aperture for all photos. Therefore each photo is shot at f5.6 and at 35mm (50mm full frame equivalent) on the Fujifilm X-T20 camera.
