We hadn’t visited Berwick for a while so on one of the past indian summer days we had a wander around the streets and the ramparts with excellent coffee and cake at The Mule On Rouge, Bridge Street.

An excellent series, lovely compositions and fab exposures. The B&W’s are groovy. Haven’t been to Berwick properly, must put it on my list!

Raws processed in Capture One, using their Classic Chrome style but only as a starting point. I find that with any wide exposure range the jpgs just don’t work as I have to under expose to keep the highlights and then they’re too noisy when I pull up the shadows. With the raws there’s not an issue with the shadows. SOOC jpgs to my mind work best with street photography for instance.
