I started this Instagram project in mid October after seeing other posts using #5050. It was to take 50 photos, one a day using a 50mm or equivalent lens. New photos taken on the day only. I thought it would be interesting to do, would stretch my skills and get me out photographing every day. It certainly has delivered on all counts.
I’ve learnt that on any day, wherever you are, you can find an image to take. It quite often involves you in looking long and hard at where you are, which is no bad thing. I’ve also learnt how versatile my Fujinon 35mm f2 is, in a variety of roles, landscape, closeups, abstracts etc.etc. If I was ever going to have just one lens…
The weather during these 50 days has been generally awful the wettest autumn for a while with a dearth of crisp bright days, so that has added to the challenge.
I’m definitely going to miss the daily discipline of getting my one shot though I’m going to try to continue going forward just for my own satisfaction. If you don’t follow me on Instagram pop over to Instagram and have a look.
Now, there must be another project I can do?
All photos in the project taken with the Fujifilm X-T20 and Fujinon 35mm f2 (cropped sensor 50mm equivalent)
