During this April/May in the U.K. until last week we were only allowed out for exercise once a day and only in your immediate locality. This is a record of those walks in a spring that was the warmest and driest here in Northumberland for a while. We are lucky to have empty lanes and footpaths right from our door. On most days we only ever saw the local shepherd, doing his rounds on the quad bike.
Spring in lockdown

Lovely to see Northumberland again, by now I should have had lunch at the Rocking Horse cafe at least twice! I know we can now drive to places for exercise but I’m sure people up there would rather we all stay away for now!

Thanks. Yes feeling have been riding a bit high here. It’s only truthfully the crass behaviour of a very small number of people that’s got people agitated. We’re lucky as we are nowhere near any pinch points (Simonside, Rothbury, Ingram Valley etc)

Your walks look not unlike my North Yorkshire ones. I’ve loved discovering my home patch so intimately – it’s yielded treasures I never imagined.
