November has been mostly a wet and blustery month and any remaining autumn colour was soon blown off the trees. However it has given us some great light and clouds as far as photography is concerned. This year so far, month by month.
The oak took a long time to colour up into autumn shades and over the last couple of days high winds have blown most of the leaves off. Yesterday and today we have had hail and sleet so the weather is definitely turning towards winter. This year so far, month by month.
September has brought storms and an early turning of the leaves on some trees. The swallows and martens have left the village announcing that autumn really is here. This year so far, month by month.
The weather has turned variable in August and some well needed rained has greened up the local countryside which was looking very parched. This year so far, month by month.
The oak is now in it's full leafy glory. But the surrounding fields are parched yellow by the lack of rain during this month. It's rained yesterday and today (the 29th), but this is the first rain for weeks. The dry spell has emphasised the old ridge and furrow lines in the field below. … Continue reading Tree project: July
