After a fairly miserable and wet autumn December gave us some brighter days and some remaining autumn tones. Sadly the birch tree featured in the third photo was a victim of Storm Arwen and is now halved in size. All photos Canon 300V and Kodak Portra 400.
November has been mostly a wet and blustery month and any remaining autumn colour was soon blown off the trees. However it has given us some great light and clouds as far as photography is concerned. This year so far, month by month.
The oak took a long time to colour up into autumn shades and over the last couple of days high winds have blown most of the leaves off. Yesterday and today we have had hail and sleet so the weather is definitely turning towards winter. This year so far, month by month.
A final grass cut in a local field resulted in patterns crying out for a B&W treatment.
September has brought storms and an early turning of the leaves on some trees. The swallows and martens have left the village announcing that autumn really is here. This year so far, month by month.
