Totally unseasonable weather here in the UK at the moment, even here in Northumberland. A lovely walk and a picnic on the beach.
We had a wonderful holiday in May in the East Neuk of Fife, staying in the village of St Monans. One of the features is the old seawater bathing pool, now disused. I always love to stroll around the beach huts on the seafront, great names and vibrant colour schemes.
A stunning day spent at Bamburgh, exploring the coast and the castle environs. I ended up taking an enormous amount of photographs, a few of which I'm sharing in this post.
Craster is an old fishing village on the Northumberland coast. It still has a smokehouse producing kippers (smoke cured herrings) and it was smoking profusely on the day we visited.
